Alive at 25 will be available over the summer at the Hamilton Career Center. The first class will be offered on June 22 and a second class will be offered on July 20. Both classes will start at 9:00 am and end at 1:00 pm.

This survival course developed by the National Safety Council is designed to deal with inexperience and casual attitudes participants have about driving which can cause violations, collisions, injury or death. The 4 ½ hour course is taught by trained law enforcement officers in plain clothes.

The course is $35 per participant which covers the cost of materials. Schools do not receive any money. Students will need to pre-register on the Alive at 25 site. Participants may register by logging onto www.scaliveat25.org or by calling the National Safety Council at 1-803-732-6778. Scholarships are also available through Alive At 25.

Students must receive certification from Alive At 25 prior to parking on all high school campuses within the School District of Oconee County.
